Dr. Troy Davis

Driven by a motivation to help people recover from injuries, Doctor of Physical Therapy Troy Davis, clinic co-owner, was drawn to his profession as a means to achieve that. The Long Beach native also knew he wanted to deliver care in a way that reflected his personal philosophy. “I wanted to develop relationships with people as I work with them to get them back to normal living,” he says.

The Long Beach native also knew he wanted to deliver care in a way that reflected his personal philosophy. “I wanted to develop relationships with people as I work with them to get them back to normal living,” he says. Along with co-owner Chris DeRosa, Troy sets a tone for a fun and relaxed atmosphere that is markedly different from traditional physical therapy clinics. Troy brings his extensive experience in all areas of physical therapy (orthopedics, neuro, acute, manual therapy, etc.) to assist his patients ease their pain and return to their expected level of activity.

Chris DeRosa says physical therapy was a logical career choice for him because making people feel good has always been a part of his DNA. “Following physical therapy allowed me to interact with people on a daily basis and provide them with help to feel better and live their lives fully,” he explains. Chris DeRosa says physical therapy was a logical career choice for him because making people feel good has always been a part of his DNA. “Following physical therapy allowed me to interact with people on a daily basis and provide them with help to feel better and live their lives fully,” he explains. He received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 1994 from Adelphi University followed in 1998 by his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the prestigious Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland and began his career in New York City as a physical therapist.

Tami Chang

Tami Chang,
PT

Throughout her childhood, Tami Chang was a family caretaker so her choosing physical therapy as a career choice was a natural transition. Today, she is part of the innovative team at Davis & DeRosa Physical Therapy. She is an alumna from two of the most prestigious physical therapy schools, New York

University and Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, from where she received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy with Honors.

She will be working towards her Orthopedic Certified Specialist certification in the coming months.

Tami has extensive experience in Sports and Orthopedic Rehabilitation.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Dr. Lianne Koo

“Helping patients get back to their life without pain is what makes my job so great,” says Lianne.

Lianne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California.

She brings 10+ years of experience to her role at Davis and DeRosa Physical Therapy Inc. Along with her kind disposition she was an immediate fit in with our caring environment.

Lianne enjoys spending time with her great family, doing Pilates, and  going on outings with her dog when she is not at the clinic.

Dr. Garret L. Wong

Dr. Garret L. Wong,
DPT, OCS, CSCS

Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Garret L. Wong, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS), brings seven years of extensive experience to his role at Davis & DeRosa Physical Therapy.

He graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science in Pre Physical Therapy and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland. He received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

He also received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Garret has the ability to evaluate patients with neurological and orthopedic dysfunctions and has an advanced certification in Peripheral Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) from the Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center.

"Whether patients come in following a stroke or with a strained muscle, helping them increase their functional ability and giving them a sense of freedom is my goal as a physical therapist," he says.

He selected his profession because of his love of science, sports and physical activity and a desire to help those in need.

Hobbies for Garret include basketball, running and watching movies. He also likes to give back to the community of El Segundo where he lives.

Dr. Will Quibell

Dr. Will Quibell,
PT, DPT

Will Quibell grew up playing sports and watching them. During that time, he was first exposed to physical therapy when a local physical therapist worked with his high school football team to help the injured athletes be rehabilitated.

As he learned more about the profession, he decided it was a great way to combine his love of sports, science, and his urge to help people as a career.

Will completed his undergraduate work at the University of the Pacific and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA.

He is also certified in Graston Technique.

He has many years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy setting.

In his free time, he enjoys supporting charitable work in his community, playing basketball, watching movies and following the sports teams from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ana Beqaj

Ana Beqaj,
PT, DPT

Ana has devoted her life to working with and understanding the human body. She began dancing at the
age of three, and as a teenager performed with a professional jazz dance company in Washington, DC.  Ana then completed a certifcation in Classical Pilates with an emphasis in functional biomechanics and injury prevention where she taught in studios in NY and LA for 10 years. 

A dance-related foot injury led her to physical therapy, where Ana developed a deep appreciation for optimal mobility and function. She went on to study physicaltherapy and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for
Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA.

Her extensive life experiences and personal history with musculoskeletal injury lends her insight and empathy when working with
patients. Outside of the clinic, Ana enjoys continuing her own Pilates practice, taking dance
classes, and exploring LA while spending quality time with her husband
and two sons.

Jayna Coe Hovik

Jayna Coe Hovik,

Jayna graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with her degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology, and from University of Southern California with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She found a passion for physical therapy because it allowed people to  return to the activities they love naturally using movement.  Janyna love for the movement system has made her a great educator in to her both her patietns and colleagues.   When Jayna is not on the court playing tennis, she enjoys rock climbing, biking and camping with her border collie (named Spy).

Dr. Courtney Mitchell

Dr. Courtney Mitchell,
PT, DPT, OCS

Courtney is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with a passion for helping people get to their
highest possible level of functioning through physical therapy. She is a Los Angeles native and
grew up playing all sports, but was exposed to physical therapy through competitive soccer.
This exposure allowed her to see the ability to help and change patient’s lives through physical
therapy.

She received Bachelors in Pre-Physical Therapy from Loyola Marymount University and her
Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. Upon graduation she completed
Kaiser Permanente’s Orthopedic Residency program and through this she received her
Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification. She has experience with outpatient orthopedics,
neurology and pediatrics.

In her free time she continues to love playing soccer, volleyball, hiking, and being outside in any
capacity. She loves being able to positively impact her patients' daily activities and work toward
any goals they have for physical therapy, their movement and/or the activities in their daily life.

Martin Schneckenberger

Martin Schneckenberger,
MS, PT, Director / Associate Partner

Martin is inspired by the human body and its ability to heal. He first became interested in the profession when two of his high school football friends were injured and were brought back to their sport through the help of their PT. He loves helping people improve the way they move, and his patients appreciate his keen insights and encouragement.

Martin grew up in the town of Hercules, in Northern California's Bay Area where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Human Movement from San Francisco State University, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific.

Martin enjoys spending time with his Wife and two incredible daughters, and in his spare time, he enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding and playing a round of golf.  

Kelly Olin

Kelly Olin,
PT, SCS

Kelly is a Southern California native who moved from San Diego to Los Angeles to attend UCLA. After graduating with a degree in Physiological Science, she attended graduate school for Physical Therapy at Mount St. Mary’s University. Kelly then became a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist in 2009 while traveling internationally with the men’s and women's USA Beach Volleyball National teams, serving as their lead physical therapist. She provided treatment at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where the USA won gold for both genders. When she’s not at work, he might find her and her husband chasing their son Jack around Hermosa Beach.

Dr. Federico Ragazzon

Federico Ragazzon’s first exposure to rehabilitation began working as a student athletic training intern during his undergraduate years. In that time, he enjoyed interacting with patients and helping them with injury prevention and rehabilitation. From there, he decided to continue with his training and education to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Federico received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the a University of California, Santa Barbara before completing the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles.

Federico was born in Parma Italy, spending his early years on the island of Sardinia before moving with his family to the US and growing up in Antelope, CA.

In his free time he enjoys surfing, exploring the outdoors hiking and camping, attending music festivals, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. JJ Chia

Dr. JJ Chia,
PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. JJ Chia loves to help rehabilitate his patients after an injury, while also teaching them how to prevent further injury. JJ received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University and went on to pursue a certified in movement control, spinal manipulation and in strength and conditioning . He specializes in orthopedics at our Hermosa Beach location focusing on treatment methods that can be used by his patients on a daily basis to put them in control of their own healing journey.  In his spare time, JJ loves to cook and is an avid scuba diver, chess and volleyball player.

Dr. Cristina Gallo

Dr. Cristina Gallo,
PT, DPT

Cristina Gallo is a Los Angeles native, she has a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from USC, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary University.  She discovered her passion for physical therapy when volunteering in a physical therapy clinic and research lab as an undergrad during her time at USC and she never looked back.

Cristina has experience with outpatient orthopedics, neurology, and is currently attending an advanced orthopedic residency program as she continues her plan to become an orthopedic certified specialist.  

When she's not working with patients, you'll find Cristina travelling with her husband or hanging out with their English Bulldog named Kobe. 

Dr. Lauren Cheng

It brings Dr. Lauren Cheng joy to see her patients return to doing the things they love to do. Lauren received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, where she fell in love with the intricate details of the body and how it all works together. Lauren grew up swimming and became a lifeguard and aquatics instructor. She realized soon after, that she received so much joy from teaching people of all ages how to swim and being able to be a part of the small successes throughout their journey. Lauren is an active member in her church youth group, she enjoys snowboarding and hiking. In 2020 she ran the LA Marathon, which she was happy to check off her bucket list!   

Dr. Jenna Marshall

Dr. Jenna Marshall is here to improve the way you move. Jenna earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University. As someone who has always lived an active lifestyle, she knows what it's like to have physical limitations and injuries. She’s passionate about helping people recover from their injuries so that they can get back to living the active, pain-free life they deserve.

In her free time, she enjoys walking the beach, working out, and hanging out with her dogs.

Dr. Carly Steenerson

Dr. Carly Steenerson,
PT, DPT

Dr. Carly Steenerson received her undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University in biology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy, then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA. Carly has always wanted to work in healthcare. She loves to help people recover from injuries and return to their lives as quickly as possible, with less pain and greater mobility. 

Carly loves hiking and spending time with family and friends when she’s not here in our El Segundo clinic.

Dr. David Portillo

Dr. David Portillo,
PT, DPT

Dr. David Portillo knew he wanted to become a Physical Therapist after he played high school football and rugby. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. David loves encouraging and motivating his patients to move and get stronger as he partners with them to reach their goals.  David enjoys sports and orthopedic rehab, but he also has background in working with neurological (stroke), spinal cord injuries, and amputees. When David is not helping people you may find him playing the congas, weightlifting, cycling or hiking!

Dr. Seth Pottenger

Dr. Seth Pottenger,
PT, DPT

Seth received his Bachelors of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Cal State Long Beach, and his DPT from Azusa Pacific University. A lifelong learner, Seth is looking to acquire his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialty next, to expand his knowledge in human performance.  Seth was originally inspired to become a PT by his grandmother, who had Parkinson’s Disease. Blown away by her physical therapists and the powerful healing they provided, he watched as she and other patients worked to regain their mobility and physical functionality and knew what he wanted to do. 

When he's not working in our El Segundo clinic, Seth loves watching sports, trying out new restaurants, hiking, and watching movies.

Dr. Ewelina (Eva) Kervin

Dr. Ewelina (Eva) Kervin,
PT, DPT, OCS

Eva became a physical therapist because of her deep-rooted desire to help others and make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Witnessing the transformative impact that physical therapy can have on individuals, enabling them to regain mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall well-being, inspired me to pursue this profession. She passionate about empowering individuals to overcome physical challenges and improve their quality of life through personalized care and rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Eva prioritizes daily exercise, and spending quality time with her husband and friends, indulging in live music, wine tasting, and new culinary experiences. She also enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, walking, and going to the beach. 

Fun fact about Eva  is she was born in Poland, lived in Germany, and emigrated to Chicago when she was five years old and of course still speaks fluent Polish! Cześć!

Jackson spent 12 years at Davis and DeRosa he brought joy and vibrant energy to our office. Patients enjoyed being greeted by by Jackson as well as watching him run on the treadmill.  His memory will always be apart of our El segundo office.  2009-2021

When they are not home playing with toys and their beloved balls, these two CCI (Canine Companions for Independence)  retired service dogs are here at Davis and DeRosa to bring a little joy to your rehabilitation experience. They both are working hard to make sure they keep fit and ready to help, so no treats please 😊.
